About Us

To meet the needs of our clients, Johnson Financial Services P.C. was established as a Atlanta CPA firm to provide accounting, tax, and business advisory services to corporations, small businesses and individuals throughout the Atlanta area. Recognizing that each client has unique goals, we tailor our services to meet your specific needs. To better meet the needs of our clients, we have individualized services for clients in industries like Individuals, professional services and various consumer services. These individualized services have enabled us to address their industry specific challenges, compliance needs and standard tax practices.

Curtis J. Johnson, CPA - President

Curtis has been practicing as a tax accountant and business advisor since 1997. Curtis specializes in financial consulting and tax planning for small to medium sized corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies along with the individuals who own these businesses. Curtis began his career with a regional CPA firm working with high net worth clients in the individual tax, business tax and small business administration groups. Curtis went on to Morris & Bryson, LLC, a legal and financial services firm, where he managed the accounting, tax, and financial services arm of the firm. Here he gained valuable experience in client representation before the Internal Revenue Service and various state agencies.

Curtis is a CPA in the state of Georgia, (GA License # 024193), and a fellow member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

John H. Johnson - Vice President
Graduate of University of Central Oklahoma, BBA Accounting

John has a valuable combination of Corporate and Public accounting experience. In 1964, John began working with Fortune 100 corporation, where he rose to the corporation's purchasing manager for the Midwestern and Western regions of the United States. John received his public experience at a regional CPA firm in the tax and auditing departments where he became senior auditor for the City of Atlanta. John went on to work as governmental and fund accounting specialist for local municipal governments for the State of Georgia. Eventually John formed his own accounting and tax service in where he has practiced successfully since 1988. John's 40 years of experience and broad knowledge base makes him the perfect complement to the firm.

Carol D. Lewis, Office Manager

Graduate of University of Alabama, B.S. Accounting

Carol began her career with the international public accounting firm KPMG, Peat Marwick, where she assisted with and conducted audits of highly specialized and diverse industries. From KPMG Carol went on to work for a Mississippi manufacturer where she was responsible for pricing recommendations for new and existing products, inventory troubleshooting and gross profit analysis. Carol moved on and gained valuable experience and expertise in sales and use tax as a tax auditor for the Mississippi State Tax Commission. Before joining us at JFS, P.C., Carol was assistant controller at a personnel services firm where she was responsible for generation of financial statements for four companies with multiple branches, and firm liaison with public auditors.
